Les Sœurs arrivèrent à Lewiston, à la paroisse Sainte Famille, communauté franco-américaine, afin d’enseigner à l’école paroissiale et aider les enfants à garder leur langue maternelle. Cet apostolat de l’éducation s’est répandu également à Chisholm, Auburn, Winslow comme aussi, en 1949, à Lewiston-Auburn, avec l’ouverture de la Maternelle Saint-Joseph. Dans le diocèse les Sœurs ont été reconnues principalement pour leur apostolat dans l’enseignement.
